There is no better way to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary (which is today, 30th January) than to take a trip down to the places where he spent most of his time.
Sabarmati Ashram located in Ahemdabad, Gujarat, has been one of Gandhi’s residences. The place has been declared a national monument by the Government of India due to the role it played in Indian independence movement.
